Did you know Hungary has one of the richest geothermal and medicinal water resources in the world? In 1939 Budapest was called the city of Spas. There are 123 hot springs and 11 thermal baths in the city not counting the private thermal spas established in some luxury hotels. With this tour we will visit 3 thermal baths, the famous Gellért, Széchenyi bath, and a turkish bath from the 16th century. The bathing culture is even older here then the Hungarians arrived so we can also visit a Bath museum in Aquincum. During the tour you will learn about the bathing culture, some architecture and you can even taste the Thermal water. Visiting Budapest is not complate without going to one of its famous spas.
