From there we will go and explore sights of the 1956 revolution in downtown Pest such as the Liberty Square, where the last monument is still standing from that era (The red star monument), Kossuth square, which is located right in front of the Parliament. The 1956 revolution started at this location.)
On our way to the Terror Museum we will stop at the place where the atmosphare will take you back to the communist times.
The Terror House (Museum) once functioned as the headquarter of the secret police. I was just a small girl when communism ended but I know a lot about this period through my family, and of course I learned what went on behind these walls. (about the treatment of prisoners and the terror of communism). I will tell you how it all started, I will also talk about the 1956 uprising and the period after. This tour will show you what life was like during the almost 50 years of communism. Come and let me share all these things with you!
